About the role : We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our client’s personal injury team. This role is crucial in managing post-settlement processes, including lien resolution, disbursements, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating settlements within a U.S. personal injury law firm, excellent organizational and negotiation skills, and strong attention to financial detail.

U.S.-based Law Firm Experience Is Strongly Preferred. Experience in personal injury is a plus.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage all aspects of settlement coordination for personal injury cases.
• Communicate with medical providers, insurance companies, and lienholders to verify and negotiate outstanding balances.
• Prepare settlement statements, disbursement sheets, and related financial documentation for attorney review.
• Track and follow up on medical bills, liens, and reimbursements to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate and organized case records within the firm’s case management system.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and accounting staff to finalize settlements efficiently.
• Provide clear, empathetic communication to clients regarding settlement progress and fund disbursement.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all financial transactions.
