The Head of Marketing will lead the overall marketing vision, strategy, and execution for BYD Argentina, driving sustainable growth and enhancing brand equity. This role requires a visionary leader with deep automotive industry experience, a strong grasp of digital transformation, and the ability to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Brand Management

  • Develop and oversee long‑term marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning, market share, and customer loyalty.
  • Lead market research, competitive intelligence, and consumer insight analysis to guide business decisions.
  • Define and safeguard the brand identity, ensuring consistency across all markets and communication channels.
  • Manage the overall marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation and measurable ROI across campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to translate corporate goals into actionable marketing strategies.

Integrated Marketing & Digital Transformation

  • Oversee integrated marketing campaigns combining digital, traditional, and experiential channels to maximize brand exposure.
  • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO / SEM, paid media, influencer marketing, social media strategy, and CRM optimization.
  • Drive digital transformation projects, enhancing data‑driven marketing performance and automation capabilities.
  • Set KPIs and evaluate marketing performance, ensuring continuous improvement through analytics and optimization.
  • Public Relations, Partnerships & Government Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, industry associations, and government stakeholders.
  • Lead PR and communication strategies, including crisis management, corporate communications, and press relations.
  • Spearhead co‑branding and cross‑industry collaborations to expand brand influence.
  • Represent the brand in key industry events, exhibitions, and public forums, strengthening corporate reputation and visibility.
  • Trade Marketing

  • Develop marketing frameworks and toolkits to support dealer‑level promotions and retail marketing initiatives.
  • Supervise the implementation of regional marketing campaigns, weekly events, communication strategies to ensure brand alignment and sales effectiveness.
  • Drive dealer engagement through conferences, incentive programs, and marketing capability training.
  • Analyze regional performance data to optimize market penetration and customer reach.
  • Product & Launch Marketing

  • Lead go‑to‑market strategies for new vehicle models and technologies, defining positioning, pricing, and communication plans.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Sales, and other teams to align product launches with customer insights and market trends.
  • Oversee major product launches, test‑drive events, auto shows, sponsorships, branding campaigns to enhance product visibility and desirability.
  • Provide market feedback to guide product development, localisation, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing marketing team capable of delivering world‑class campaigns.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the marketing organisation.
  • Partner with HQ and regional offices to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.
  • Complete all required alignments, reports and other necessary tasks.
  • Qualifications

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Communications, or related fields.

    Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or premium dealership).
  • Proven success in developing and implementing multi‑channel marketing strategies across global or regional markets.
  • Strong understanding of the EV / ICV landscape and emerging automotive trends.
  • Skills

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • Expertise in digital marketing platforms, data analytics, and marketing automation tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a focus on results and brand differentiation.
  • Language Requirements

    Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese or Chinese proficiency is a plus) to work with global teams.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in brand building within electric vehicle or new energy vehicle sectors.
  • Established relationships with key media, industry associations, and government agencies.
  • Experience in working with international teams in different time zones and backgrounds.
