The Role

At Sovos, we're building a best-in-class renewals organization that puts customers first while driving predictable growth. As a Renewals Specialist, you'll manage the renewal lifecycle for SaaS customer accounts, using your negotiation skills and relationship-building instincts to ensure customers see ongoing value in our solutions. This is a quota-carrying role where your impact will be measured in both customer retention and expansion.

More specifically, you will:

• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations and collaborate with Account Management and Customer Success to build comprehensive account plans.
• Implement industry best practices to enhance the overall customer experience during renewal, leveraging AI tools to improve process efficiency and customer engagement.
• Proactively identify and capitalize on renewal upsell opportunities within your assigned territory.
• Lead negotiations with customers to ensure successful renewals, partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve any account issues that could impact the renewal.
• Ensure operational excellence throughout the renewal process, maintaining tactical awareness and addressing challenges promptly.
• Maintain predictability in forecasting and delivering against targets, striving to exceed expectations in all aspects of renewal management.

What You Bring to Sovos

• You've built solid experience managing renewals or accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• You have a proven track record of achieving sales or renewal quotas, particularly for SaaS renewals.
• You bring strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• You're proficient with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with AI-assisted workflows; experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
• You've demonstrated the ability to advocate for clients while ensuring company policies are upheld, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• You're effective at handling difficult situations, resolving issues promptly, and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders within tight timelines and resource constraints.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
