Role Overview :

Reporting to the VP Finance - One Dragon Services, the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will be a detail-oriented and analytical member of a dynamic and  growing team. The FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and providing insights through forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong financial analysis capabilities, and experience within the Financial Services Industry. Prior experience working in the private equity or investment space is advantageous.  As part of an operationally led firm, you will contribute to the overall financial health of our portfolio companies while assisting with key financial reporting, accounting, and tax-related functions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our portfolio companies, guiding them in financial standards and best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and executive presentations.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and dashboards that drive strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasting.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and profitability studies.
  • Assist with preparing materials for board meetings, investors, and senior leadership.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data and reporting.
  • Prepare, analyze and interpret the general ledger and corresponding financial statements in accordance funds’ requirements, policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for portfolio companies, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the financial health and growth of portfolio companies.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support and influence strategic decision-making by executives and senior management.
  • Maintain systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
  • Assist with audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and supporting all audit processes.

Qualifications Required :

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or management consulting, with at least 2 years in the Financial Services Industry; experience in the operational side of private equity or investment sectors is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field; (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong financial modeling, Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and ability to distill complex financial information into actionable insights, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
