We’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer (Rust) to help build the core systems powering a next-generation football gaming platform. You’ll design and ship backend services that keep millions of players connected, synchronized, and competing — while maintaining speed, scalability, and reliability.
This role is ideal for someone who’s built distributed systems, loves solving complex technical problems, and enjoys working in a fast-moving, collaborative startup environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend services using RustCollaborate with engineers, designers, and QA to translate product requirements into technical solutionsBuild and optimize distributed systems that can handle large-scale traffic and real-time interactionsContribute to the evolution of backend architecture and internal APIsParticipate in code reviews , architecture discussions, and technical design sessionsWork closely with Ops and Platform teams to ensure stability, observability, and scalability in productionMonitor performance metrics and proactively identify issues before they impact playersHelp refine team workflows, processes, and best practices as the studio growsWhat You Bring
3–4+ years of professional backend development experience1–2+ years working with Rust in productionStrong understanding of distributed systems , concurrency, and API designExperience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerized environmentsFamiliarity with monitoring, deployment pipelines, and CI / CD workflowsStrong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearlyA proactive mindset with ownership over both code quality and system reliabilityNice to Have
7+ years of backend experience in high-load, real-time applicationsPrior experience in game development or game backend systemsFamiliarity with matchmaking, leaderboards, or real-time event systemsLove for football and an understanding of the culture around the sportHow to Apply
