Satellogic is a vertically integrated Earth Observation satellite and data company. We design, manufacture, and operate our own fleet of satellites, the Aleph-1 constellation, which delivers high-frequency, high-resolution imagery plus full-motion video.

About the team
The Optics team is responsible for the optical high level design, analysis and study of the different optical assemblies and optical payloads of our satellites.
The optics team designs, models and analyzes the behavior of the optical components. Based on the systems requirements, they support in defining the specifications of new optical elements. They support the satellite Assembly Integration & Testing team in the definition and execution of acceptance and integration optical procedures defined in the verification plans.
The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.
About the position
As an optical engineer you will be responsible for the simulation and analysis of imaging optics hardware like hyper and multispectral camera focal planes, lenses and telescopes. The optical engineer will also assist in the design, calibration and execution of experiments in our labs and pilot plant.
Location
Our labs are located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Remote work is acceptable, but we require you to be available to work in our labs at least 2 days per week.
