Work Arrangement : Fully remote, overlapping EST working hours.

Work Schedule : 40 hours per week, with core hours between 10 AM – 6 PM EST

Role Overview

As a Ruby on Rails Engineer (with AWS expertise) , you’ll take ownership of a Rails-based application that is currently being developed by a contracting team. Your role is to manage the transition of knowledge, ensure stability, and begin driving feature development and maintenance under the guidance of the CTO (ex-Amazon, startup-experienced). You will be a key contributor in establishing long-term technical ownership of the product, making both architectural decisions and hands-on contributions.

This is a high-impact role suited for a Rails engineer ready to step into more responsibility—bridging the gap between execution and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Application Ownership & Transition

• Collaborate closely with the Ukrainian contracting team to absorb knowledge and transition application ownership.
• Take full responsibility for the Rails application’s codebase, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
• Document technical knowledge and onboard future engineers.
