Manages the tax liability of the company including the planning, accounting, filing, and reporting process; gathers information for purposes of satisfying income tax requirements at all levels of jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Tax returns preparation / supports the filing of tax returns
- Tax determination on customers billing
- Understanding of regulations and business and accounting acumen
- Supporting internal and external audits
- ERP / tax applications and databases maintenance
- Lead activities : manage the most complex account reconciliations; address corrective measures that may impact other teams; prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L, B / S, payments)
- Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains / losses for tax reporting purposes
- Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contact tax authorities for clarification as needed
- Lead communication with business partners on issue / discrepancies resolutions
- Review Chevron customers’ taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance
- Leads, coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures
Required Qualifications / Soft Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or taxCombination of +10 years of tax accounting, finance and / or audit experience; excellent oral / written English skillsFluent in ERP / Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP)Preferred qualifications
