The Director of Product Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational execution of the product engineering function for Tax and Legal in South Latam. This role is critical in driving the development and enhancement of innovative technology solutions that empower our clients to achieve their goals efficiently and effectively.
About The Role
Lead technology implementation for tax professionals in Argentina.
Design the strategy to develop new products or services based on technological innovations, including cloud software, service platforms, automated solutions, artificial intelligence, data analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, and robotic process automation.
Assess customer needs, identify business opportunities, create technical requirements, implement the product / service, and ensure it meets quality standards.
Manage relationships with external and internal partners, suppliers, vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
Work closely with marketing teams to understand brand differentiation, competitive advantages, and pricing strategies.
Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, finance, procurement management, human resources, legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs.
Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement, teamwork, and performance.
Create training programs and mentor junior staff members.
Establish processes and procedures to monitor and control project progress, risks, issues, and budget expenditures.
Provide technical support during product release and post-release stages.
Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss updates, changes, and improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, laws, and policies.
About You :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in technology implementations.
Advanced English
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and other leading cloud providers.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
Experience managing Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
