Job Title : Lead Web Developer – eCommerce & Conversion Optimization

Job Overview :
We’re helping our client, a fast-growing eCommerce health and wellness brand, find a Lead Web Developer to own and optimize their digital infrastructure across Shopify, Klaviyo, and WordPress.
This role is not about passive maintenance—it’s for a growth-minded builder who thrives on testing, learning, and iterating at speed. You’ll be responsible for building and customizing Shopify experiences, driving funnel performance with A / B testing, and ensuring seamless, conversion-focused user experiences across all touchpoints.
Your ability to combine technical excellence with user empathy will help scale digital systems that increase revenue, improve LTV, and create an unforgettable eCommerce experience.
Responsibilities :
- Shopify Development & Custom Coding : Build and optimize custom sections, PDPs, carts, and checkout flows using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Conversion-Focused Funnel Optimization : Develop and test landing pages and sales funnels using Zipify Pages, Tapita, or custom code.
- Retention Systems Integration : Connect Shopify with Klaviyo for lifecycle flows, personalization, and post-purchase engagement.
- A / B Testing & Growth Optimization : Operate with a “test-and-improve” mindset, iterating on layouts, offers, and copy based on performance data.
- Web Infrastructure & UX Oversight : Maintain and improve WordPress / Elementor content pages, ensuring SEO, mobile performance, and frictionless UX.
- Creative Implementation : Translate design mockups into pixel-perfect, brand-aligned code for campaigns and launches.
- Strategic Collaboration : Partner with marketing and retention teams to shape conversion strategies and guide tech approaches for upsells, subscriptions, and loyalty.
Requirements
3–5+ years experience as a web developer in a DTC or eCommerce brand environmentAdvanced knowledge of Shopify, Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScriptHands-on experience with Zipify Pages and other conversion-focused Shopify apps (e.g. Rebuy, OneClickUpsell, etc.)Proven experience optimizing checkout flows, upsell / cross-sell implementations, and product page architectureFamiliarity with Klaviyo flows, event logic, and list segmentationDeep comfort with running A / B tests and interpreting conversion data to make iterative improvementsGrowth mindset with a bias toward testing, learning, and fast implementationPreferred :
Experience building sales funnels and bundles within Shopify or custom-coded sectionsExposure to subscription apps (Recharge, Loop, etc.) and loyalty / rewards integrationsUnderstanding of conversion copywriting, UX principles, and mobile-first designFamiliarity with WordPress + Elementor and basic PHP helpfulAble to lead or mentor junior developers and freelancers if needed
