What's the opportunity?

As our Head of LATAM Public Affairs , you will lead dLocal’s public affairs strategy across Latin America, driving engagement with government, regulatory, and industry stakeholders to support our business objectives and reputation. You will act as the primary representative for dLocal in public policy matters, regulatory forums, and industry associations, ensuring proactive advocacy and alignment with our global vision. This role reports to the Global Head of Corporate Affairs and collaborates closely with regional leadership, Legal, Compliance, Communications, and Business Development teams.

What will I be doing?

• Develop and execute a comprehensive public affairs strategy for the LATAM region, aligned with dLocal’s global objectives and local market needs.
• Build and manage relationships with government agencies, regulators, policymakers, and industry associations to advocate for dLocal’s interests and enable business growth.
• Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, and policy developments across LATAM markets, providing timely insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead dLocal’s response to public policy challenges and opportunities, including drafting position papers, preparing testimony, and representing the company in public forums.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Communications, and Business Development to ensure alignment on public affairs initiatives and messaging.
• Manage crisis communications and issues management related to public policy or regulatory matters in the region.
• Represent dLocal at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to strengthen our market reputation and influence.
• Oversee the development of advocacy campaigns and coalition-building efforts to support business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in public affairs activities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing public affairs function across key LATAM markets by supporting Country managers to act on your behalf.
• Coordinate media and comms products to support public affairs narratives across the region.
