This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Mid DevOps Engineer in Latin America.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic engineering team supporting a high-scale, AI-powered platform for threat detection. You will focus on building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. The position allows direct impact on machine learning and data pipelines that process millions of data points in real time. Ideal candidates are hands-on engineers with strong Kubernetes and cloud experience, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and passionate about building secure and automated infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with software, data, and security teams while helping drive SOC 2 compliance and operational excellence.
Accountabilities
As a Mid DevOps Engineer, you will :
- Design, deploy, and optimize Kubernetes-heavy infrastructure across multiple environments.
- Build and maintain Helm charts, Terraform modules, and CI / CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab).
- Support application and data pipelines, including containerizing workloads with Docker.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions and automate provisioning with Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
- Monitor and improve system observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, or ELK stack.
- Ensure infrastructure security and contribute to SOC 2 compliance initiatives.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business and ML workloads.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.3–5 years of experience in production infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.2+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster provisioning, Helm, scaling, and optimization.Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and containerization technologies (Docker).CI / CD expertise with Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.Cloud experience, particularly AWS (EKS, RDS, IAM, Lambda, ECR); Azure or GCP a plus.Scripting skills in Bash or Python, with an automation mindset.Familiarity with monitoring / logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK).Experience with relational and messaging systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Snowflake).Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, SDN) and security best practices.Strong troubleshooting skills for distributed systems and microservices.Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment and work cross-functionally.Nice-to-have :
